Everybody wants to {be} love{d}
It’s a catchy tune. But the words are even better. If there’s a theme song for our adoptions, this is it. The song of our heart, the words we want to proclaim:
Everybody, everybody wants to love. Everybody, everybody wants to be loved.
It’s Gospel, really. God is love. And everyone born of God is created to love and be loved.
And if we don’t, and if we’re not, then we are incomplete. Not whole. Broken.
This is the life of an orphan, the life of so many hurting. Those not experiencing embrace are missing out on the very thing they’ve been created from, created for. Love.
And when we welcome them, when we receive them into our life, our family, our home – we are actively living into the very same purpose and identity. Love.
And when we find each other, when our willing to love meets their need to be loved, God is glorified and made known on this earth! And we are made more complete.
For everybody heals with love.
It is by the grace of God that men and women and children worship by this act of welcome, this willingness to embrace. It is by grace that our eyes see a need and our hearts long to satisfy it, and our feet take us there. It is by grace that hearts expand to love in ways that are unnatural, yet connect to the deepest part of our soul.
Swing open up your chest and let it in. {loving like this will change you forever}
Let the love, love, love begin.
Enjoy the song that sings some truth!
