Salt and Light
We are the salt of the earth. We are to preserve hope. Enhance the taste of God’s goodness in all things. Season this world with our active faith and joyful spirits.
We are the light of the world. We are to expose the truth. Reveal Jesus. And live as a visible reflection of the one who created us. Colorful, equal, beautiful us.
This is the hope of the hospitable life. That we live into our purpose as salt and light. As people called to penetrate this world with Jesus. By the giving and receiving of life.
From the creatures that sore.
To the ones we adore. All of life is worth it.
May our love imprint the grace of God on the hearts of all those we encounter.
May we be living testimonies of how faith can victoriously rise above the fear that easily engulfs.
May we serve as a safe place to cling to, reach to, when the waters rise to take others under.
May we choose to journey with others in this hospitable life. Being salt and light together.
Sometimes walking side by side.
Sometimes being carried. Sometimes being the one who carries.
And may we face the unknowns. Our fears. People. Our brokenness. Our sanctification. May we face life with a posture of worship — arms open, ready to receive the Lord’s will in all of it.
