Reaping What We’ve Sown

There’s a harvest to reap on this earth. And we are the laborers. Sowing seeds of love and grace. Praying for the Giver of Life to nourish and grow. Gathering believing hearts to be welcomed at the feast.

We’re always sowing, whether we realize it or not. The question is What are we sowing? Are we planting seeds of judgment that turn people away. Are we planting seeds of bitterness that take root and choke out life? Are we planting seeds of division that hinder and block the Light?

Or are we planting seeds of hope that offer promise to those who need to grasp it? Or seeds of grace that welcome people and all their broken realities? Or seeds of love that grow life wherever their planted?

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will read destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing Good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:7-10

May our life reflect this divine truth.

Our family started to gather our love moments from this past season. To reap what we’ve sown, in order to feast on God’s goodness in our life. We each shared one moment of love we gave to someone, one we received, and one we witnessed between other people. We easily remembered when love was given to us. We struggled to remember the love we sowed in others. So we helped each other recall, reminded the other how it is they love. We guided the children’s hearts and thoughts, for these processing moments don’t come natural to them. We are learning together.

We had some laughs, remembered some sweet moments, and once again brought light to some victories of love. Already, our spirits are filling. And we will continue to remember throughout the week and feast on the way love satisfies.

Big hands, or little….we all can sow, we all can reap

We witness love when we watch others trust in God’s leading.

We give love when we’re vulnerable with others.

We feel loved when we’re wanted.

We feel loved when people compliment and affirm us.

These are the moments that truly fill us. Let’s delight in them and be more intentional with what’s happening around us.
